PixelSnap is developed and maintained by MTW Oslizlo & Magiera s.c., address: ul. Wałowa 49, 44‐300 Wodzisław Śląski (Poland), NIP: 6472582030, who is the personal data controller. This privacy policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Information We Collect

PixelSnap collects minimal information, only as needed for licensing and support. Specifically, we collect:

• Email address – Provided by you during purchase to manage your license.
• Hashed Mac serial number – A one-way MD5 hash of your Mac’s serial number is used to uniquely identify your device. We do not store the serial number itself.
• Mac hostname – Used to help identify your licenses and for support purposes.
• macOS version – Used to ensure compatibility and provide appropriate support.

PixelSnap does not access, collect, or transmit any personal files or usage data from your device.

2. How We Use This Information

The above data is used only for:

• Verifying software licenses and device activations
• Providing customer support
• Preventing unauthorized use of the app
• Ensuring compatibility with your system

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our lawful bases for processing personal data are:

• Contract: To fulfill our obligations in providing you access to PixelSnap, including license management and customer support.
• Consent: If you contact us directly or opt in to communications, we may process data based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Legal obligations: To comply with applicable legal requirements such as tax or accounting rules (as handled by Paddle or Setapp).

4. Payments and Third-Party Processor

PixelSnap is available through two distribution methods:

1. Direct Purchase via Paddle
   

   Purchases made directly through our website are processed by Paddle, our payment partner and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment information, billing details, and email address in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

   We do not receive or store your full payment details (e.g., credit card numbers). However, we do receive your email address and basic transaction metadata (such as license type and refund status) for licensing and support purposes.

2. Access via Setapp
   

   PixelSnap is also available through Setapp. If you use PixelSnap through Setapp, all billing and user management is handled by Setapp in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

   We do not receive your billing or personal account details from Setapp.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to any third parties outside of:

• Paddle (our payment provider)
• Internal systems used strictly for license management and customer support

There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking services embedded in PixelSnap.

6. Local-Only Functionality

Aside from licensing verification and updates, PixelSnap operates entirely on your Mac. It does not upload usage data or track user behavior.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR or other applicable privacy laws, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to certain uses of your data

8. Data Retention
